These terms govern your use of launchpact.in and any engagement with LaunchPact. They are written in plain English on purpose. Read section 4 and section 6 in particular — they cover money and what we do and do not promise.
The short version. We are a career support service that works for you, not for employers. Our main fee is a success fee you pay only after you are placed. We guarantee the quality and completeness of the preparation. We do not guarantee that you will get a job — nobody honestly can.
1. What LaunchPact is
LaunchPact is a career support service for people working in or entering the IT industry. We rebuild your professional profile so that applicant tracking software and recruiters can actually find and read it, prepare you for interviews, and support you through offer negotiation.
To be unambiguous about what we are not: we are not a recruitment consultancy, not a staffing agency, and not an employer. We are not paid by companies, we do not put you on our payroll, and we do not place you on contract. Our incentives sit on your side of the table, which is the whole design.
2. Applying is free, and creates no obligation
Submitting the form, running the ATS checker and taking the strategy call cost nothing and commit you to nothing. We may tell you at that call that we are not the right fit for you — we would rather say so than take your money.
An engagement begins only when you accept a written proposal from us. Until then, either side can walk away with no consequence.
3. The free ATS checker
The checker scores your resume inside your own browser. It is provided as-is, for guidance.
It measures machine readability, structure, role keyword match and recruiter filters. It cannot assess whether you are aiming at the right roles, what your experience is worth, or how you will perform in an interview — and it does not claim to. A high score is not a prediction that you will be hired, and a low score is not a judgment of your ability. It is a measurement of a document.
Different employers run different applicant tracking systems configured in different ways. Our score is a well-informed model of how they behave, not a reading taken from inside any specific company's system.
4. Fees
Our pricing has two parts, and the larger part is contingent on your outcome.

How the success fee works
- It falls due only after you have accepted a written offer obtained during the engagement. No offer letter, no success fee.
- It is calculated on fixed CTC — your guaranteed annual compensation. Variable pay, performance bonuses, joining bonuses, stock and reimbursements are excluded from the calculation.
- It is paid once, after you get the job, so you are never paying before you are employed.
- There is nothing else. No hourly billing, no per-interview charge, no fee for the strategy call.
All amounts are in Indian Rupees and exclusive of applicable taxes. Prices shown on the site may change; the price in your accepted proposal is the price that governs your engagement.
5. What we expect from you
The programme only works if the information under it is true. You agree that:
- The details you give us — experience, CTC, qualifications, notice period — are accurate.
- You will not ask us to place false claims on your resume or profile, and you accept that we will decline if you do. We will restructure and reframe what is true. We will not invent it.
- You will tell us about offers and interviews you obtain during the engagement, including ones you sourced yourself, so that fees can be calculated honestly on both sides.
- You will show up — to calls, to preparation sessions, to the interviews we arrange.
Material misrepresentation, or concealing an accepted offer, ends the engagement and leaves any fee already due still payable.
6. What we promise, and what we do not
We make no guarantee of employment. We guarantee the preparation.
We commit that the work will be done properly and completely: your profile rebuilt, your interviews prepared for, your negotiation supported, by people who do this for a living.
We cannot commit that a specific company will call you, that you will clear a given interview, or that you will reach a particular salary. Hiring decisions are made by employers on grounds we do not control and are not told. Any figure quoted anywhere on this site — CTC calculators, example outcomes, past results — is illustrative, not a forecast of your result.
Be wary of anyone in this industry who promises otherwise.
7. Your resume and your content
Your resume and the information in it remain yours. You grant us permission to use them only for the purposes of delivering the service: rebuilding your profile, and sharing it with employers for roles you have agreed to.
The materials we produce for you — your rewritten resume, your profile, your preparation documents — are yours to keep and use, during the engagement and after it ends.
Our own frameworks, scoring engine, templates and site content remain ours, and may not be resold or redistributed.
8. Cancellation
You may end the engagement at any time by telling us in writing. The programme fee covers work already performed and is non-refundable once the engagement has begun, except where we have failed to deliver the service.
A success fee already due on an accepted offer survives cancellation. A success fee not yet triggered does not become payable.
We may end an engagement if the relationship has broken down, if information you gave us proves materially false, or if we are asked to do something we consider dishonest.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you have actually paid us. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost earnings, lost opportunities, or the outcome of any hiring decision.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud.
10. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is set out in full in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Before anything reaches a court, please email us. Most things are a misunderstanding that a phone call fixes.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force for your engagement is the one published when you accepted your proposal, and we will tell you if something material changes.
