Six-month career shift track

You want a different
role. Your resume still
argues for the old one.

A tester moving into business analysis. A BA moving into development. A support engineer moving into cloud. The work is learnable — the hard part is being taken seriously for a role you have not held yet. That is the specific problem this track exists to solve.

01 — The problem

Shifting roles is not
a skills problem. It is
a credibility problem.

Most people attempting a shift already have half the ability. A tester has spent years reading requirements and arguing about edge cases — that is business analysis, described in the wrong vocabulary. The obstacle is not capability. It is that screening software and hiring managers both pattern-match against your last job title, and yours says something else.

So the shift needs three things at once: the missing technical ground covered properly, a credible artefact that proves you can do the work, and a profile that argues for the next role rather than the last one. Doing one without the others is why most attempted shifts stall.

Nobody hires a job title. They hire evidence. This track exists to build the evidence, then make sure it is legible to the people deciding.
02 — The six months

A sequence, not
a syllabus.

Each phase produces something a hiring manager can actually look at. Timelines flex to your starting point — the pre-assessment sets that.

M1
Diagnostic & target definition
Pre-assessment plus a Beacon AI read. We establish exactly which target role is realistic from where you stand, and which of your existing experience already transfers. Most people underestimate how much does.
M2
Closing the real gaps
A focused plan covering only what the target role genuinely requires and you genuinely lack — not a generic curriculum. Weekly checkpoints so drift gets caught early.
M3
Certification preparation support
Guidance on which certification actually carries weight for your target role, a study plan, and support through it. We will also tell you when a certification is not worth your money — several are not.
M4
Evidence you can show
A project or portfolio artefact in the new discipline, reviewed properly. This is what replaces the job title you do not have yet, and it is the single biggest lever in a shift.
M5
Repositioning & applications
Resume, LinkedIn and Naukri rewritten to argue for the new role. A ranked target list, referrals where our network reaches, and applications tracked properly.
M6
Interviews & the offer
Mock rounds for the new discipline with senior IT experts, with written scorecards — including the question every shifter is asked: “why are you moving?” Then offer benchmarking and negotiation rehearsal.
+1
One month after you join
Support does not stop at the offer. The first weeks in a new discipline are where shifts quietly fail, so we stay with you through onboarding, the first deliverables and the first review conversation. This is included, and it is the part nobody else offers.
03 — What is included

Everything, for
one fee.

One track, one scope. There is no upper tier and nothing held back for an upgrade.

Transferable-skill mapping
A written analysis of what in your current role already counts toward the target one, and how to say it credibly.
Personalised gap plan
Only the ground you actually need to cover, paced to your starting point and your working hours.
Certification preparation support
Which certification matters for your target role, a study plan, and guidance through it. Exam fees are paid by you, directly to the body.
Portfolio or project review
A real artefact in the new discipline, critiqued the way a hiring manager would read it.
Beacon AI profile analysis
Visibility score, keyword coverage against live postings for the new role, and a dated action list.
Full profile repositioning
Resume, LinkedIn and Naukri rewritten to argue for where you are going, not where you have been.
Mock interviews for the new role
Technical and managerial rounds in the target discipline, run by senior IT experts, with written scorecards after each.
One month of post-joining support
Through onboarding, first deliverables and the first review. The period where career shifts most often go wrong.
04 — Beacon AI

Our AI shows you the
vocabulary of the role
you are moving into.

Beacon is built in-house by the LaunchPact team. For a career shift it does something particularly useful: it mines live postings for your target role and compares them against your current profile — so you can see precisely which terms you already have evidence for, which you have but have described in the language of your old job, and which you genuinely still need to earn.

Access. Your free strategy call includes a Beacon read and an honest walkthrough of how far the shift really is. The full report, action list and unlimited re-scores are included once you enrol.
05 — Fee

₹8,999 to begin.
The rest only once
you are placed.

A shift takes sustained work over six months, so the joining fee is higher than our standard track. After that the structure is identical: a one-time percentage of the annual fixed CTC you land, payable only once you are placed. No placement, no further fee.

  • ₹6–12 LPA — 10%
  • Above ₹12 LPA — 12%
  • Excludes bonus, stock, variable and relocation
Not included, stated plainly. Certification exam fees are paid by you directly to the certifying body. Paid tool or course subscriptions, if your target role needs one. And any guarantee of a job — we do not offer one, and neither can anyone else.
Who this track is genuinely for. People already working in IT who want to move discipline — testing to business analysis, BA to development, support to cloud or data, and similar moves. If you are looking for a first job rather than a change of direction, the professionals track or the student tracks will serve you better, and we will say so on the call.

Is LaunchPact a startup?+
Yes, and we would rather say so plainly than dress it up. LaunchPact is a young, independent company with a working team behind it — industry mentors drawn from IT, not career counsellors. That has a real consequence for you: the people on your calls have screened resumes and sat on interview panels themselves, rather than reading from a sales deck. It also means our fee structure is not a marketing choice. We are paid mostly after you are placed, so an engagement that does not work costs us more than it costs you.
Do you provide or guarantee a job?+
No, and nobody honest can. We do not employ you, we do not control hiring decisions, and any organisation promising a guaranteed job is either misleading you or charging you for one you could have found yourself. What we do is make you findable, prepared and properly represented — and then work every round with you. The only thing we genuinely guarantee is the fee structure: if you are never placed, you never pay us beyond the joining fee.
Do you work as a consultancy or staffing agency?+
No, and the distinction matters more than it sounds. A consultancy or staffing agency is paid by the employer — which makes you the product being sold, and makes their loyalty structurally theirs, not yours. We take no money from any company, ever. We are paid by you, which means we can tell you an offer is poor, a role is a step backwards, or a company is worth walking away from. We also do not put you on our payroll, bench you, or place you on a contract.
Are there any hidden charges?+
None. For the Career Shift track it is ₹8,999 to begin, covering the full six months including certification preparation support and one month of post-joining support — then a one-time success fee of 8–12% of your new fixed CTC, payable only once you are placed. Beyond that there is nothing — no material fees, no platform fees, no per-interview or per-mock charges, no renewal, and no charge for any service listed on this page. You will see the exact fee in writing before you accept any offer, calculated on the fixed CTC only. If a number ever appears that you were not told about in advance, you do not owe it.
How many months does it take to get selected?+
We will not give you a date, because anyone who does is guessing. What we can give you is the honest pattern we see: profile rebuild and preparation take roughly three to four weeks; interview calls typically begin arriving four to eight weeks after that; offers most often land somewhere between two and four months from starting. Notice period, target role, seniority and the market all move that. Some people take longer, and we stay with them — there is no clock running out on you.
Do you have tie-ups with companies?+
No formal or paid tie-ups, and we will not pretend otherwise. We are not a placement agency with partner quotas to fill. What we do have is a team with reach on both sides of the table — former colleagues, hiring managers and recruiters who will look at a profile when we send it. Where that network genuinely reaches, you get a referral. Where it does not, we say so. The honest trade-off: no shortcuts, but also nobody paying us to place you somewhere that suits them and not you.
How does the recruitment support actually work?+
In sequence. One: a Beacon AI read plus a diagnostic conversation, producing a written plan. Two: resume, LinkedIn and Naukri rebuilt around the vocabulary your target roles use. Three: a ranked list of roles worth applying to, with referrals wherever our network reaches. Four: applications tracked, because timing changes outcomes. Five: mock rounds with written scorecards before the interview that counts. Six: offer benchmarking and negotiation rehearsal. One thing we deliberately do not do is apply on your behalf without your knowledge — it is your career and your credentials.
What happens if I fail the pre-assessment?+
You cannot fail it, because it is not an exam. The pre-assessment exists for our benefit, not as a filter for yours. It tells us where you are actually starting — what you know, what you have shipped, where the gaps sit — so we can build the right personalised plan rather than hand you a generic one. There is no pass mark and no rejection attached to it. A weaker result simply means your plan starts further back and is paced accordingly.
What is your benefit in this?+
A fair question, and the answer is deliberately simple. We earn in two places: the joining fee, and the success fee once you are placed. The success fee is by far the larger part — which means our income depends on your offer, not on your signup. If we enrolled people we could not help, we would do a great deal of unpaid work and then earn nothing. That is precisely why we turn candidates away, why we tell you when an offer is poor, and why we would rather lose a joining fee than take one from someone we cannot genuinely move.
