Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LaunchPact ("LaunchPact", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you visit launchpact.in or apply for our IT placement service. We comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 (and rules made thereunder).

1. Who is the Data Fiduciary?

Under the DPDP Act, the entity deciding the purpose and means of processing your data is the "Data Fiduciary." For this site, that is:

2. What personal data we collect

We only collect what we need to evaluate your application and contact you:

We do not collect: government-issued IDs, bank details, passwords, biometric data, health information, or sensitive personal data beyond what is listed above.

3. Why we collect it (purposes of processing)

• To evaluate your eligibility for our placement programme.
• To contact you about job opportunities matching your profile.
• To prevent fraud, spam, and abuse of our application form.
• To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We will not use your data for unrelated marketing, profiling, or sell it to third parties.

4. Legal basis (consent)

We rely on your explicit, informed, and unambiguous consent given by ticking the consent checkbox on our application form. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 8). Withdrawing consent does not affect the legality of processing done before withdrawal.

5. How we store and protect your data

• Form submissions are stored in Google Forms / Google Sheets under our private Google account. The sheet is restricted to authorised LaunchPact personnel only.
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
• Server-side validation strips any malicious scripts or HTML before storage.
• The Google account holding your data has 2-Step Verification enabled.
• We use a honeypot field and timing checks to block automated abuse.

6. Cross-border transfer

Because we use Google Workspace, your data is processed and stored on Google's infrastructure, which may include servers outside India. Google provides standard contractual safeguards. By submitting the form, you consent to this transfer.

7. How long we keep it (retention)

• If we contact you and you accept placement: data retained for the duration of the engagement plus 3 years (for our records and tax obligations).
• If you don't proceed: data deleted within 12 months of last contact, unless you ask for earlier deletion.
• Submissions flagged as fraudulent or spam: deleted within 30 days of flagging.

8. Your rights as a Data Principal

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erase your data ("right to be forgotten") subject to legal retention obligations.
• Withdraw consent at any time.
• Nominate another person to exercise these rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
• Grieve — file a complaint with us, and if unresolved, escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

To exercise any of these, email admin@launchpact.in from the address you registered with. We respond within 72 hours and resolve within 30 days.

9. Cookies and tracking

This site does not set any first-party cookies. Google Fonts (used for typography) may set technical cookies on Google's domain — see Google's Privacy Policy. We do not use analytics, retargeting pixels, or advertising trackers on this page. If we add any in the future, we will update this policy and obtain fresh consent.

10. Children's data

Our service targets working IT professionals and is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our service evolves or the law changes. The effective date at the top will reflect the latest version. Material changes will be notified by email to existing applicants.

In line with Section 8(10) of the DPDP Act and Rule 5(9) of the IT Rules:
